The Resentments
The Resentments are an all girl, bad attitude, punk band who sang and ranted about real people, with songs that used real names and even real-er resentments.
The Resentments came about one fine summer day when Anastasia penned the lyrics to "Anastasia says" on the beach in Long Island. Her friends, Jenni Muldaur, Pat Place & Julia Murphy had guitars with them and transformed the newborn lyrics into their first track. After stealing girl scout uniforms from unsuspecting young girls, the concept of a pre-pubescent rant & resentment band was born. The Resentments started off on a lark, tossing lollipops from stage at their first gig, and soon found themselves touching the hearts of - mostly divorced & deranged - men. Unmanageable, even among themselves, they quit after a packed show at CBGB's and remain forever united in their resentments as The Resentments.
