WALKING ACROSS A CITY! WHY?
With current technology you can take virtual tours of the world’s travel hotspots in your hot tub, check in and out your hotel from outer space with a click. But nothing will reveal the soul of a place like putting boots on the ground and walking it’s streets. Take it from me, I know. After two decades in a tech related industry I felt as if I’d spent a life staring into the box rather than thinking outside it. So I’ve decided to quit my high paying, high stress job and trade it in for lowest paying, lowest tech thing on the planet - walking. As I walked around Los Angeles, I realized I knew very little about it. One day, on a bet, I walked across the entire city without a map, and without an agenda. Believe me, it was a long, long walk - but by the end I knew the city in ways that most never will.
London, Ho Chi Minh City, Istanbul, Havana, Tokyo! All in all I plan to walk across all the great cities of the world.
